3D Design and Printing!

Thanks to an amazing parent, Kelly, we have been learn a 3D printer. After some play and printing of fun things like a comb in the shape of a shark and a giant donut Shopkin we discussed how we could use 3D printing in a useful way. We decided we could use it to build a model of a new playground that we could then show to our Principal to convince her to give us money to build more playground equipment (worth a try!).

First we designed our playground components on paper and labelled the 3D shapes these designs used. Next we used the Tinkercad web tool to make a digital 3D version of our design. Finally we sent our designs from Tinkercad directly to the 3D printer and printed our new playground model.
